Kidz Connection After-School Program

Kidz Connection is a faith-based After-School Program that meets weekdays from 2:30 to 6:00 pm, and provides a wholesome environment for student learning and fun activities. It is designed for all students in grades kindergarten to fifth grade. How will the children be grouped?

For sessions, students will be put in groups (of less than 10) by grade. Usually, two grades are grouped together; for example, K/1st 2nd/3rd, and 4th5th. Each group will enjoy age-appropriate activities and games.

What kind of snacks will you offer?

We offer a variety of healthy snack options. Each child will get 2 food items and a beverage each day. Also, we will have plenty of water breaks. A sample menu can be provided upon request.

Who will pick up my child from school?

A qualified Kidz Connection staff member will pick up children at each school. We will pick up students in our white van or staff vehicle. The driver and students are required to wear seatbelt. Pick-up from schools will be within 15 minutes of school dismissal time. We currently provide transportation from Wetmore, Longs Creek, Stuebing Ranch, Redland, and Thousand Oaks Elementary.

What will the kids do?

The program consists of a snack time and three sessions, to include:

Study Zone

Students are provided a quiet area to do homework. The staff and volunteers will supervise and offer assistance. Students are expected to complete daily assignments, read, and write (age-appropriate) words or stories. They may draw, color, or do puzzles if they finish their homework before the end of Study Zone.

Playtime

Students will have time for free play before snack time and co-operative games or play after Study Zone. We will try to use the playground outside whenever weather permits. In cold or rainy weather, we will play games indoors.

Faith-based Activities

Students may enjoy a Bible story of Bible-themed video; a corresponding art activity, and music/praise and prayer time.

How much is the tuition?

$195.00 per month, per child

Kidz Connection offers a discount for 2 or more children in the same family! This amount is figured by the total number of school days and pro-rated, making the monthly rate the same each month. The months of August & June are $50 each.

Registration fee is $50 per child

When is tuition due?

Tuition is paid on the 1st day of each month (or the first weekday, if the 1st falls on a weekend or holiday).

Is there a late fee?

We will assess a $10 late fee if the payment is 5 days late, and a $20 fee if it is more than 10 days late. If the account becomes 30 days past due, the student will be subject to withdrawal from the program until payment is made.

What Holidays are off?

We will follow the NEISD Calendar.
