About Christianity

Christianity is similar to a number of other faiths in that it acknowledges a creator. It recognizes a moral responsibility to that creator. Christianity, like most religious faiths, recognizes the moral problems of our world and the pain it causes mankind.

Where Christianity differs is in the solution it suggests. Christianity does not simply offer a path of higher morality or enlightenment. Christianity is unique in that it teaches that man is, at his core, sinful and cannot find his own path to moral or spiritual salvation. In response, what Christianity offers is a Savior.Christianity is all about Jesus Christ, the Son of God, as the savior of the world.

Christianity is based on several simple but powerful ideas:

1. God created man to love him and have a personal relationship with him.
   (John 3:16, Ephesians 2:4-5)
2. Man has chosen to sin in rebellion against God’s laws and ways, thus separating him from God
   (Romans 3:23 )
3. The penalty for sin is death and separation
   (Romans 6:23 , Isaiah 59:2)
4. Jesus Christ came to deal with the problem of sin by paying our penalty for sin with His own death on the cross. This made possible our reconciliation with God our Father.
   (Romans 5:8)
5. To receive this free gift of salvation from our sin we must recognize and confess our need (our sin), express our honest desire to repent (turn away from) of our sin, trust Jesus, and receive Him as our Savior (forgiver) and Lord (leader).
   (1 John 1:9, John 1:12 , Acts 2:38 )
6. If we’ll let Him, Jesus will forgive our past and lead us into a different kind of future! Eternal life begins today when you surrender your life to Christ!
   (2 Corinthians 5:17)

Christianity is not just a religion, but also a relationship.
