River City Community Church

At River City we feel that we have a mandate from Christ to fulfill our part of the Great Commission.

It is our understanding that every member of this fellowship plays a role in making that happen. Therefore it is the mission of this team to equip and release this body to reach the world around them. We do this in two ways:

This ministry team provides training opportunities like the “Becoming A Contagious Christian” class or “Project Leader” training for short term missions trips.
This ministry team provides opportunities for God to work through you to reach your neighbors, friends, and other cultures for Christ. This happens when you invite your lost friends to outreach events like our Super Bowl Party or Fall Festival; or, when you take part in a foreign mission trip or inner city outreach.

Drive-By Feedings - Year Round

Pick up non-perishable meals-in-a-bag on the RCCC patio after services the first weekend of each month. Keep a few meals in your car, ready to give out when you encounter a needy person.

Breakfast at Wheatley Courts - 2nd & 4th Saturday every month

A team from River City serves breakfast to children and families every 2nd & 4th Saturday mornings of the month, and offers a children’s Bible study and ministry to the adults.

Servants of the Lord - 1st & 3rd Friday every month

Servants of the Lord Ministry feeds the homeless under the bridge near the Samm’s shelter the 1st & 3rd Fridays of each month.

Royal Family Kids' Camp

A summer camp designed for foster and abused children of the San Antonio area. This camp will be an opportunity for RCCC to express the love of Christ to children who may never experience true unconditional love and acceptance. We are planning on launching our first camp during the summer 2008.

Prayer for the Nations - Every Tuesday, 10 am

This special service will provide an opportunity to worship, hear testimonies, and pray for countries and missionaries around the world.

Dinner at the Strong’s Foundation - Last Wednesday or every month

Help serve dinner to homeless families at the Strong’s rehab home.
