What is a Life Group?
A Life Group is not just another meeting, and it's not just a Bible study. Rather, it's a group of people growing together under the care of a small group pastor. These groups are highly relational, and the relationships help us apply and obey the Word. In a Life Group, no one stands alone and everyone is cared for!
What can I expect in a Life Group?
Our Life Groups meet in homes at various times during the week. After attending one of our weekend services, your group will discuss how to apply the speaker's message in your lives. Groups also have time for prayer, fellowship, and community outreach as well as scheduled and spontaneous outside relational events. Childcare needs are addressed group-by-group.
How do I find the group for me?
There are several ways to find a group:
- Check the "Requesting Life Group Information" box on the "Response Card" in your weekend service bulletin, put it in the offering box, and someone will contact you.
- Request a "Life Group Card" at our Information Center in the foyer. Fill it out, turn it in, and we will contact you about groups in your area.
- Call our office and ask for Jason Powers, the staff pastor overseeing Life Groups.
- Click here and fill out the form to find a group that fits what you are looking for. You can email or call the Life Group leaders for more information on their group.
The easiest way for you to get connected at River City is to visit the Connections Cafe after a service. One of the Connection Partners will be glad to help you find the group that is right for you!
